Project: Wren Ives
Wren Ives is a business designed for entrepreneurial women. It's a single-product brand featuring a day planner that focuses on productivity, self-improvement & goal setting. The goal was to create a planner that's pleasant to carry around and packed with functionality.
I wanted the logo to be distinctive and appeal to a female customer without being too prominent. The planner is something users will carry around with them so the logo needed to be a subtle enough to fit into their every day lives. I chose to create a logo that resembles intentional handwriting, perhaps having been scrawled by the user themselves.
The planner is designed as an easy to use daily tool. It covers six months to keep it compact and to allow the user to revise goals part way through the year. I chose white on pale grey for the cover to give it a light feel and make it harmonious with every decor. In styling the photography I emphasized a passion-focused work lifestyle. Clean layouts and crisp 45 degree angles speak to an organized life.
I designed the pages of the planner to have a neat, business-like appeal. The writing and layout guides the user through the process of effective goal setting, then it breaks larger goals down into more manageable parts. Each page includes productivity tools and an inspirational quote.
I designed the e-commerce website to be a simple landing page with the features and benefits listed clearly. The site directs users to shopping cart checkout pages and allows for easy email sign up.
I designed a serene self-care story on the social media pages for the brand. Posts alternate between product, inspirational and aspirational photos. The feeds are designed with a monochromatic colour story that harmonizes with the planner photos.
It arrived in the mail today! It's every bit as unique and beautifully designed as I knew it would be.
